Polmenna Pools was founded in 2021 by two neighbours on the Roseland: Llewellyn Rounsevell, a local builder whose firm LSR Construction has shaped homes across Cornwall, and Luke Gamble, a vet who moved to the peninsula the same year and brought a surgeon's obsession with doing things properly.
It's an unusual partnership, and it's exactly why our pools are different. One of us has spent a career getting groundworks, drainage and structure right in Cornish conditions. The other treats every plant room like an operating theatre.
We're not a national franchise and we don't sell kits. We take on five or six projects a year, each with a dedicated project manager, and we're on site — personally — for all of them.

A typical 11m × 4.9m heated family pool, complete and swimming, is around £120,000.
Smaller pools cost less; infinity edges, pool rooms and extensive landscaping cost more. Every project is quoted individually, in writing, before a spade goes in the ground — and the number we quote is the number you pay.
Every project starts with a visit. We walk the site with you, talk honestly about access, ground conditions and budget, and produce proper pool drawings before anything is agreed. Construction is managed start to finish by a dedicated project manager, working with equipment from Ambassador Pools and Paragon — and when the pool is filled, we don't disappear: we hand over with a maintenance kit, a first season of chemicals on our complete packages, and a phone number that actually gets answered.
